Our story
Gallery Cho, located in Taipei, Taiwan, is an art and design exhibition space established by Yen-Ting Cho and Jamie Gilham, the co-founders of award-winning international design company YEN TING CHO Studio.
The gallery promotes contemporary art and design, especially digital media, through engagement with both domestic and international audiences.
Gallery Cho hosts exhibitions and related events throughout the year. Besides showcasing the work of YEN TING CHO Studio, the gallery exhibits work by or in collaboration with creatives – artists, designers, makers, writers, thinkers – from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
Gallery Cho 是一個藝術與設計展覽空間，由屢獲殊榮的國際設計公司卓彥廷工作室的聯合創始人卓彥廷和Jamie Gilham所創立。
畫廊的宗旨在於透過與國內外觀眾的互動，推廣當代藝術和設計，尤其專注於數位媒體的領域。
我們全年舉辦多樣的展覽和相關活動，其中除了展示卓彥廷工作室的作品，還包括來自各種背景的創意人士之作品，例如藝術家、設計師、製造商、作家、思想家等，其個人創作或合作作品也同樣受到展示。
Gallery Cho places a strong emphasis on education with carefully curated exhibitions revealing conceptual motivations, research and development, applications and results of projects, as well as connected lectures and talks, seminars, workshops, hackathons and other activities open to anyone with an inquisitive mind.
Through collaboration and public engagement, we aim to contribute to the creative energy of Taipei and elevate Taiwan on the international stage.
Gallery Cho 重視教育，通過精心策劃的展覽展示項目的概念動機、研究與開發、應用和成果，同時提供相關的講座、演講、研討會、工作坊、黑客馬拉松等活動，熱情歡迎所有懷抱探索精神的人參與。
藉由與各界的合作和公眾的參與，我們的目標是為台北的創意產業注入新的活力，並讓台灣的藝術設計在國際舞台上閃耀光彩。
Meet Yen-Ting Cho
Professor Yen-Ting Cho is a designer, artist, educator and researcher. He directs YEN TING CHO Studio (London and Taipei), a digital design studio and consultancy, and is also Professor in the Institute of Creative Industries Design, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He is an expert in cross-disciplinary research, focusing on architecture, interactive and media design, and animation. He has a PhD in Innovative Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art, London, and a MDes from Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD).
He has designed interactions for Microsoft Surface, GSD and the Guggenheim Museum, New York. Exhibitions include Camden Art Centre, Manchester Science Festival, Siggraph Asia, ACMM, Taiwan Design Expo 2022. His designs have won numerous international awards, including 2022 Muse Design Platinum and 2020 IDA Design Gold. His work is regularly featured in international art-design press, including Design Magazine, Mot Times, Taipei Times, DFUN, 90+10.
卓彥廷工作室創始人卓彥廷是一名設計師、藝術家、教育家與研究者。他主持卓彥廷工作室 (倫敦與台北)，同時也是台灣成大學教授。 他擅長跨領域的研究，包括建築，互動與媒體設計，以及動畫。擁有倫敦皇家藝術學院的創新設計工程博士學位，並擁有哈佛大學設計研究所（GSD）的碩士學位。他被授予哈佛獎學金電影學習中心獎，其動畫實踐獲得了國際獎項，如亞特蘭大電影節。曾為微軟Surface，GSD和紐約古根海姆博物館設計了互動。他曾於英國皇家藝術學院擔任客座講師，其科技藝術作品展覽包括卡姆登藝術中心（倫敦）、曼徹斯特科學節、Siggraph Asia、ACMM和2022台灣設計博覽會等。
卓彥廷工作室的作品以其與眾不同的數位美感模糊了藝術、設計和時尚之間的界線，獲得無數國際大獎，如2023 美國Muse設計大獎時尚類最高級別白金獎、2023倫敦創意雕塑類特優賞、2020年美國IDA金獎、2021年義大利設計獎A' Design Award等，此外，除參與過許多國際商業展覽如紐約Coterie、倫敦SCOOP、法國巴黎時尚家居設計展等，同時也獲眾多知名博物館、選品店邀約進駐，包括紐約市藝術與設計博物館和舊金山現代藝術館。作品也曾刊登於多份國際與台灣媒體，包括哈佛 GSD 校友平台, 90+10, Design Magazine, 明日誌, 台北時報, DFUN等。除了時尚織品的開發，品牌更是將作品獨家授權美國 CB2 知名家具公司，將台灣設計推向國際。
